Cambridge Inspection a Success!...

As a fully accredited CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) Centre, I have a responsibility to ensure that all  external examinations are administered to their guidelines, and to see that candidates are treated fairly and correctly. It has been an enormous task to administer 79 separate examination components during May and June. Thankfully I have been supported in this daunting task by Ms Sara Borgarelli (Secondary Coordinator) and Ms Edria Murray (Secondary Assistant Coordinator), and by other teachers who have been conscientious, reliable invigilators. On the penultimate day, while 3 students were sitting their French AS level exam, a CIE inspector arrived for a surprise visit to the examination room and to check our procedures and scheduling. It is my enormous pleasure to be able to announce that MEFIS-Izmir achieved the highest praise CIE offers: “completely satisfactory”. Translated from understated British English, that means we did brilliantly!
